another day at the surf shop
March 15, 2011
I was at Terry’s surf shop again today to follow up on some of the pictures I took earlier. I still have one or two pictures that I want to work on, especially the wide angle shot of the two workshops (second shot) and the last shot. I wish Terry was in the frame somewhere. I’m going to camp out there and see if I can get him closing up shop.

I LOVE the last three shots, Jakob….they have a good mood to them for me. I would love to see some outtakes of Terry somewhere in the frame in the last shot. Beautiful shots!

Yes! Your persistence and patience (and talent, of course) pay off Jakob. Your images for this story are better, and better. After looking at these ones I get a better sense of who Terry is. Can’t wait to see more.

Thanks, Cat and Catalin! I agree, the second shot and the last shot aren’t really there yet. I’m hoping to get Terry closing up his shop or something of that sort in the last frame. And I also want to wait for a better set-up to redo the third shot. Sometimes, the boards in there are really colorful, and I’m hoping to get a moment when both Terry and Chuck are lost in their work (like Chuck on the right in this shot).
