uncropped and untoned – spring 2010

A while ago, I posted on my facebook wall that I found an exposed but undeveloped film in my M7. Well, I finally took it to the lab, and there were some true highlights from spring 2010 on there. Without much further ado, here’s a selection of my favorites, uncropped and untoned in the order they were shot. Enjoy the time travel…

the chartbreakers live @ roy

A while back, my sister Antonia had a gig with her band The Chartbreakers at the famous Munich bar Roy. As you can tell from the decoration, it was around Christmas time. If it’s not on deadline, stuff sometimes disappears from my radar, which is why I’m only posting these now. Business as usual…

retro brewery

I’m really starting to like cell phone photography. Last weekend, a few friends of mine and I toured the brewery Ottenbräu in my hometown before feasting on some roasted ducks at a nearby restaurant. I knew that I was going to have a few beers that evening and didn’t want to worry about my M9 all night long, so I left it at home. When we got to the brewery, however, I really wanted to take pictures. Robert, the owner, had just moved the production from the old brewery to a brand new one. The old brewery dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and is extremely photogenic. I started taking pictures with my phone, using the Retro Camera App for Android. Even though it doesn’t perform very well in low light, I really like the outcome. Here’s what I got:

pumpkin fest 2011

It’s this time of the year again. Last Saturday, we had a pumpkin party. It was my first pumpkin party on German soil, and it was a blast. Tina and Beth made last-minute pumpkin pie (delicious), pumpkin soup (amazing/spicy) and pumpkin pizza (fabulous) and everyone brought a pumpkin and knives. After we were done carving the pumpkins, Beth roasted the pumpkin seeds and we had those, too. I feel like I haven’t used the word pumpkin quite enough yet. Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. It’s a miracle that we didn’t all turn into pumpkins, I guess. Anyway, we had a great time, and the same goes for our friends who were there. I have a feeling that this is going to become a regular thing…
