Fill & Balance

This is my select for the Fill & Balance assignment. Due to the absence of the Great Yellow Star and due to lack of creativity on my side, the winner is of course… BALANCE!!!

Satisha Jogaiah and his wife Latha Mangala from Pune, India, prepare a traditional south Indian dinner in their apartment on West Broadway. They came to Columbia on August 12th, 2008, after Jogaiah, a senior scientist of the Indian National Research Center for Grapes in Pune, was invited by the Institute of Continental Climate for Viticulture and Enology to conduct a two-year research on a certain kind of grape. Although they enjoy their time in the U.S., both of them miss their home and families, especially when something important like a death or a marriage happens. “We feel we should be there, sharing their joy and sorrow,” Jogaiah says. Having traditional food every day helps them cope with their homesickness.
