about the photographer

A photojournalist from Germany, I am currently pursuing my MA in Photojournalism with a Fulbright scholarship at the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, Mo. From the very beginning of my career as a photographer, I was interested in working with people and exploring their lives with the camera. Through several journeys to different countries – among others Bangladesh, India, Zimbabwe, England and the United States – I have developed an insatiable curiosity for other cultures. The intensive contact with the hard sides of life that I had in Bangladesh, India and Zimbabwe has instilled a sense of responsibility in me that my work as photographer should contribute to social change.
